A garage door that won't stay closed in Tempe is usually a sensor or limit-setting issue telling the opener to reverse. It's typically a quick adjustment.

There's a local angle to a garage door won't stay closed in Tempe: the area's relentless 100°+ desert heat is hard on garage doors — 100°+ heat fries openers, and blowing dust clogs tracks. Our Tempe techs see these failures spike around every July heat wave, so they track down the real cause instead of masking the symptom.

What might be wrong

Common causes when your garage door won't stay closed

Here's what our local techs check first — and what each one usually means.

Close-limit set too high

If the opener thinks the floor is higher than it is, it reverses.

Sensitive or misaligned sensors

Touchy photo-eyes can send the door back up.

A bad logic board

Occasionally the opener's board misreads the door position.

How we fix it

Fixed fast by a local Tempe pro

We tune the limits and sensors, test the logic board, and confirm the door stays sealed.
