A crooked or uneven garage door in Salinas usually means a cable has slipped or snapped on one side. It's worth fixing quickly before it comes off the track.

There's a local angle to a crooked or uneven garage door in Salinas: the area's coastal salt air and inland heat is hard on garage doors — salt air corrodes hardware, and inland heat strains openers. Our Salinas techs see these failures spike around every late-summer heat wave, so they track down the real cause instead of masking the symptom.

What might be wrong

Common causes when your crooked or uneven garage door

Here's what our local techs check first — and what each one usually means.

A roller off the track

A roller out of its rail throws the door out of square.

Uneven spring tension

Mismatched springs can lift one side faster than the other.
