When a garage door reverses before closing in Davie, the safety sensors or close-force settings are usually to blame. It's a same-day fix in most cases.

There's a local angle to a garage door reverses before closing in Davie: the area's heat and humidity is hard on garage doors — humidity corrodes hardware, and storms surge opener boards. Our Davie techs see these failures spike around every summer storm, so they track down the real cause instead of masking the symptom.

What might be wrong

Common causes when your garage door reverses before closing

Here's what our local techs check first — and what each one usually means.

Misaligned safety sensors

If the photo-eyes are slightly off, the opener reverses to be safe.

A close-force or limit set too tight

When the force setting is off, the opener senses "resistance" and backs off.

Track binding near the floor

A bent track or worn roller at the bottom can trigger the reversal.

How we fix it
