When a garage door reverses before closing in Bossier City, the safety sensors or close-force settings are usually to blame. It's a same-day fix in most cases.

A garage door reverses before closing rarely happens in a vacuum. Bossier City's heat and Gulf humidity wears doors down — heat overworks openers — and we get a clear run of these calls every August heat wave. A local pro fixes the underlying cause and backs it with a one-year warranty.

What might be wrong

Common causes when your garage door reverses before closing

Here's what our local techs check first — and what each one usually means.

Misaligned safety sensors

If the photo-eyes are slightly off, the opener reverses to be safe.

A close-force or limit set too tight

When the force setting is off, the opener senses "resistance" and backs off.

Track binding near the floor

A bent track or worn roller at the bottom can trigger the reversal.

How we fix it
