Broken torsion spring on heavier insulated models
The triple-layer Amarr doors — think Olympus and Heritage — are heavy, and that puts real strain on the torsion springs above the door. When one snaps (you'll often hear a loud bang from the garage), the door gets dangerously heavy and the opener can't lift it. Please don't try to force it open or muscle it by hand — a spring under that much tension is the one repair we really want a tech handling. Call us and we'll swap it safely, usually same day.
Worn nylon rollers getting loud and jerky
Amarr's standard nylon rollers are quiet when new, but after years of cycling they wear out and the door starts grinding, shuddering, or hopping in the tracks. It's one of the most common Amarr calls we get. Upgrading to sealed ball-bearing rollers makes the whole door run noticeably smoother and quieter — an easy, affordable fix.
Bottom weather seal cracking on the retainer
The rubber bottom seal that slides into the aluminum retainer on Amarr doors gets brittle from sun and cold and eventually tears or shrinks, letting in drafts, leaves, water, and the occasional uninvited critter. We carry the correct Amarr-profile seal so it actually seats right in your retainer instead of a loose universal piece that falls out.
Section dents and panel damage on steel doors
Amarr steel doors hold up well, but a backed-into bumper or a stray basketball can crease a panel. The good news with Amarr is the doors are sectional, so in a lot of cases we can replace just the damaged section rather than the whole door — as long as your model and color are still available. We'll check availability before you spend money on a full replacement.
Safety sensor misalignment stopping the door
If your Amarr door starts to close and then reverses back up, the photo-eye sensors near the floor are usually the culprit — bumped out of alignment, dirty, or with a loose wire. It's a quick adjustment most of the time, and we'll make sure the auto-reverse safety feature is working exactly as it should before we leave.

Amarr questions
Do you install Amarr doors, or just repair them?
Both. We repair and maintain any Amarr door already on your home, and we're happy to quote and install a new Amarr door if you're ready for an upgrade. Tell us your model or just text a photo and we'll point you in the right direction.
How do I find out which Amarr model I have?
Most Amarr doors have a small label on the inside of the bottom section or on one of the tracks with model and serial info. Snap a picture and send it to us — we can usually identify the line and order the correct parts so the repair is right the first time.
Are Amarr parts easy to get for repairs?
Yes. Amarr is a major national brand, so springs, rollers, seals, hinges, and panels are readily available. We stock the common wear items on our trucks, which means many Amarr repairs get finished in a single visit.
My Amarr door won't open and I think a spring broke — what should I do?
First, don't try to open it manually or keep hitting the opener button — a broken torsion spring leaves the door extremely heavy and the strain can damage the opener or hurt someone. Just leave it as-is and give us a call. Broken springs are one of our most common emergency calls and we can typically get out to you the same day.
